Swedish Post office improves mail service with Pricer DotMatrix

Pricer and its partner SIPS recently designed and equipped the first Post Terminal with a DotMatrix based sorting rack management solution. DotMatrix wireless pixel-based displays were installed on the mail sorting racks to significantly increase sorting capacity. Zip codes, city names, type sorting and sorting time are now updated several times per day using the Pricer ESL platform integrated with the sorting system.
After a successful trial installation of 700 DotMatrix displays in the Karlstad terminal in Sweden, the Gothenburg and Stockholm Post offices recently ordered the solution comprising of more than 7,000 DotMatrix displays. Pricer expects further orders from Post Terminals throughout the Scandinavian countries and anticipates the solution to be exported worldwide. SIPS will show the new sorting solution at the Post exhibition in Hanover next September 2009.
