DELHAIZE GROUP implements Pricer ESL in Belgian stores
As reported in the IT & Supply Chain Newsletter by Planet Retail, 07 March 2012:
Delhaize Group has decided to equip all its Belgian stores with Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL), Planet Retail has learned. The graphical shelf tags, which can display any form of logo, barcode or font based on dot matrix technology, are to be supplied by Pricer. Toshiba is to be the implementation partner for the project.
So far, Delhaize Group has installed ESLs in 30 of its Belgium stores, some of which are franchised operations. The plan is to equip a further 50 stores per year. Pricer was awarded the contract last year following different test installations by itself and ZBD in 2011 and 2012.
