Problem

Problem

As a large format hypermarket, each E.Leclerc store has a lot of products to manage. Each store is independently-run so it up to store owner to implement price automation and updates.

Implementation

Implementation

E.Leclerc hypermarkets install on average 25,000 electronic shelf labels per store.

The chain uses labels customized with the E.Leclerc logo on the frame, to fit in with the overall store branding.

Solution

Solution

E.Leclerc is the first retail chain in the world to have massively adopted the new generation DotMatrix graphic displays.

In 2008, full DotMatrix ESL installations were successfully completed in 3 E.Leclerc hypermarkets in France, totalling more than 100,000 DotMatrix displays of all formats.

Result

Result

Since the 3 full DotMatrix installations, more E.Leclerc hypermarkets have chosen the Pricer solution, and DotMatrix labels, for partial or full store equipment. Pricer is now present in 15 E.Leclerc groupings in France, and other E.Leclerc stores in Southern Europe.

E.Leclerc hypermarkets remain the largest installations of full graphical labels worldwide.
